Here’s a practical playbook with proven steps to help complete beginners and experienced marketers alike win and scale. 1. Start simple and focused "Think of your initial campaign as a learning laboratory," Eng says. "With a focused $100 daily budget in one campaign, Facebook's algorithm can gather enough data to optimize effectively. This consolidated approach gives you clearer insights than spreading smaller budgets across multiple campaigns." The key is to stay focused while you gather data. Don’t spread your budget thin. You have to consolidate to understand what works and what doesn’t. Create Facebook Ads content customers actually want Research what content your target audience already consumes and enjoys. Then, as Eng suggests, recreate that style with your own messaging. Whether product demonstrations, user testimonials, or lifestyle content, your creatives should feel native to the platform. Pay attention to engagement patterns on organic content within your niche. What video styles get the most comments? What types of images drive shares? Use those insights and others like them to develop ad creatives that feel natural and relevant to your audience. I have 2 caveats with this approach: 1- Be Careful which Echo Chamber you are supporting So there are plenty of trends out there you can hop onto in a fastervertising approach, and give people what they are already consuming. BUT have the self awareness to also see what societal effect you are supporting. If it causes tragedy and violence like a lot of the extremism emerging in America right now does, see if you can avoid profiting by fanning the flames of these types of trends. 2. Be aware of Facebook ad policies, old and new Even if you have a solid ad strategy you can still get banned for one word, your entire funnel, full stop. [spacer height="10px"] So, it's vital to understand how the Facebook bots flag ads and ad accounts. [spacer height="10px"] Given how automated Facebook's policy bots are, to be successful not getting thrown in FB jail, you'll want to understand how and why these policy automations flag to avoid being on their radar. Advertising restrictions for unusual activity If you buy a new smartphone, and are in a new location, download the Facebook app and log in, you could get hit with the unusual activity flag.
