Why SEO Alone Won’t Get You Seen in 2025: The Rise of AI Information Optimization
You optimized your site. You ranked for the right keywords.
So why aren’t you being cited by ChatGPT?
The rules of visibility are changing—again. Traditional SEO still determines what gets indexed by Google, but AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude aren’t browsing your page. They’re compressing it.
Your content isn’t competing for clicks anymore.
It’s competing to be remembered—inside the model.
In my latest Substack drop, I explain how Reid Hoffman saw this shift coming over a decade ago, and what every business owner, SEO strategist, and digital brand must now adapt to:
✔ Why semantic compression is now the hidden filter between your website and the LLM
✔ How to structure your content for machine interpretability, not just human readability
✔ And the exact reason your brand might be skipped—even if your SEO is solid
Don’t just rank. Be retained.

- Put the summary at the top. TL;DR your insights so clearly, even a distracted model can lift it clean.

Now, let’s dive into one of the reasons Facebook is so harsh with the ad review process, where Meta will make or break your Facebook ad:
your access can’t be reinstated: Security
Billions of logins for sites such as Google and Facebook leaked, compiled online
If you ever had a reason to hire a cybersecurity company to protect your private data its now, per recent news. CEO’s company started a Thursday announcement, “We’ve heard you,” before sharing plans to improve Facebook’s Feed.

In short:
Billions of login credentials have been leaked and compiled into datasets online, including for platforms such as Facebook, Google and Apple.
It appears that the data was stolen through multiple events over time, and then compiled and briefly exposed publicly.
What’s next?
Experts say the breach is another reminder to maintain “cyber hygiene”, including avoiding similar logins across multiple sites. It is actually due to the massive amount of hackers that makes Meta punish regular people running Facebook ads with insta bans.

Definitely use strong passwords because if you get locked out of your email used to verify your identity with FB, same for phone, that can literally end your business. Kinda like you are after seeing Your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account. Let’s see what we can do for solving this.
Your Access Can’t Be Reinstated
Have you been shut down and then waited to appeal and got the message that your access can’t be reinstated? It’s challenging seeing your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account and not having direct steps on resolving it.
Maybe you only waited 4 days but by then it was too late and you already got a permanent restriction. To be honest, you have only about 48 hours to correctly appeal a disabled Facebook ad account. Let’s troubleshoot a restricted account. (Check out my last article Facebook ad account disabled next steps)
your access can’t be reinstated: Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot your restricted account
A lot of people have been shut down without a second thought – this reddit post alone has many talking about getting banned without warning seeing your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account.
You may try to go to Facebook’s help pages, but come away frustrated because they don’t tell you how to get your Facebook ads live again. My article sheds some light on what to do if your ad account is disabled.
I say troubleshoot a restricted ad account because it really is like a tech support issue, rather than an advertising one. Because machines are the ones, not humans, doing the flagging.
Navigating Facebook’s Advertising Policies as a Business has a few extra challenges because, unless you’ve worked with the engineers like I have, who tooled many of these automations, the logic behind banning decisions doesn’t make sense.
Everyone is gungho about Chat GPT right now – but if you are a Facebook advertiser, you know the dangers of placing all the decision making into the hands of machines.
So, you got the dreaded, “your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account.”
What now?
Facebook will ask you to confirm your identity but it’s a mistake.

Your Access Can’t Be Reinstated: Confirm your identity
The evil bots will send you a request to confirm your identity but there’s a fatal flaw in this request: half the time the identity form itself doesn’t work.
When I was working in ads at Facebook and tech, I edited some of these forms. I saw the backend of what you’re filling out to get back your disabled Facebook ad account. And you know what happened a lot?
The form was broken. When you are sending in your driver’s license or whatever, to confirm your identity and never hear back OR get a denial response – many times it isn’t your fault!
It’s because the form itself was broken and Facebook or Meta as Mark is calling it now, just rec’d a blank form without your driver’s license.
Then, when you are waiting to hear back, even if you filled the confirm identity form out the machines will send you this message: “Your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account.”
Ever watch Mr. Robot? It’s an interesting series. Getting a message like that from Facebook kind of makes you wish you could hack like Elliot #amiright?
But you can’t so your Elliot moment is more like:

Now, I’m not saying that confirming your identity is a bad thing. Just don’t think it’s the cure all or that the form will even work.
“Your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account,” is a hard ban to overcome.
Do yourself a favor and don’t fall for the scam where a rando online offers to recover your account.

Your Facebook ad account is disabled, Facebook is offering no guidance on getting ads live again – if that sounds familiar you’re like one of my clients, Steve Martinez, Vice President of Apollidon Learning.
“Trevor took us through the process of getting one of our University of Texas ad accounts reinstated (within minutes). He offered some critical insights to why our Facebook Ad Account was disabled and shared options to reduce our chances of future issues. We have a better understand of how the algorithm works and know exactly what to do and say if our account gets disabled again.”

your access can’t be reinstated: Negative Feedback
You have too much negative feedback on your ads
So, before you freak out about a Facebook ban, double check your own ads to make sure they are on par with your competitors as far as quality and audience-product match.
One of the biggest challenges you face is not knowing who to trust. Let’s say you’ve googled, “your access can’t be reinstated because too much time has passed since we restricted your account,”
You’re going to see youtube videos like this one, just spouting gibberish trying to appeal on a smartphone.
Which is idiotic. Or you may land on this website, where people are just complaining without any guidance on what to do to get your ads running again.
The key is to look at your ads from Zuckerberg’s perspective. Ok, sure, Mark isn’t personally looking at your ads (get over yourself lol), but he created the system that is.
When Facebook’s automations first look at your ads, it’s always going to be guilty until proven innocent.
So you want to be super critical of your own ads not defensive. That whole feeling you know so well of being kicked in the gut after a Facebook ban hammer blinds you to solving the issue.
Take a critical eye to your ad copy and ask,”Am I calling out a group of people too specifically? Do my claims sound realistic?”
Pretend you are your own enemy, and want to take your ads down. Do your ads sound fraudulent in any way? Do this before trying to appeal a disabled Facebook ad account.

Facebook Account Disabled – How to Appeal to Reactivate it?

Outdated articles like this one, have no info that works as far as appealing and getting your disabled Facebook ad account back online.
To be honest, I would suggest that you don’t rely on an appeal to get your ad account back.
You may find that it is a lost cause. BUT, if you want the best chance of getting it back, there are a few steps I can recommend:
• Don’t wait longer than 48 hours to appeal
• Don’t use the Request Review button inside Business Manager
• First determine the EXACT reason you were shut down
• Chat in to Facebook Ad Support request a manual review
• Accept that you may need to create a new ad account – I can help with that.

your access can’t be reinstated: What to do next
What do I do if my Facebook account is restricted from advertising?
I’ve said this time and time again, you want to prescreen your ads for compliance before focusing on conversions. It’s better to try to prevent yourself from being shut down than try to pick up the pieces afterwards.
Social media marketing agencies like this one, write articles that acknowledge how Facebook’s machines don’t discern idiomatic phrases that well – so be careful how you word ad copy.
They don’t really have a solution to this problem but I do.
The years I’ve spent working at Facebook enable me to immediately identify why an automation flagged your ad copy.
That’s my number 1 tip: find out why you got shut down before taking any actions. Because you may dig yourself into a deeper pit if you act sneaky or evasive trying to get your ads running again.
